I finally found this film at my local Blockbuster and convinced my boyfriend to rent it. I had heard about Long Pigs first on Facebook, and wanted to see it instantly. It was such a pleasure to meet and chat with these guys. I was able to interview an indie horror film director, Chris Power and meet the main Cannibal - Anthony Alviano. The last weekend of August, Toronto's biggest genre fans unite to wreak havoc, hang out and meet other fans as well as meet and greet their biggest idols in genre at FanExpo. It's only when they investigate further that the filmmakers begin to doubt Anthony's accounts of his past. They even begin to identify with his ecological and philosophical justifications for his cannibalistic lifestyle. Initially terrified, the filmmakers get to know Anthony as a person. Synopsis From IMDb: A documentary by two desperate young filmmakers who stumble upon the ultimate subject, a 33 year old cannibalistic serial killer named Anthony McAllister, who has agreed to let them document every aspect of his horrifically violent life-style. So, for the first one we'll kick it off with a flick that's been making the rounds at horror festivals everywhere since 2007. With so many horror fans telling us how tired they are of Hollywood remakes, we thought it would be cool to run an "Indie Horror Spotlight" feature.
